Re: Alta Disponibilidad

Hola, mi Espanol no es suficiente, por eso escribo en Ingles. In general this is possible using HDR (High availability Data Replication). See the relevant chapters of the "Administror's Guide" manual for setup and handling of HDR. Here are a couple of things to be aware of: - HDR is a "master-slave" scenario. Data can be changed only on the master ("primary"). On the slave ("secondary") data can be read only, but not manipulated. The secondary is therefore a read-only database server. - machines must be of same OS-level and IDS versions must be the same. If hardware is different (i.e. slower or less RAM) you may run into difficulties, but it also can work, depending on your requirements. - setting up HDR on a single machine can be done, but is tricky and therefore not recommended or supported. - you cannot replicate BLOBSpace BLOBs, - some parameters in onconfig file must be the same on primary and secondary. However, most if not all parameters that you want to configure differently for a DSS scenario can be different. (This somewhat depends on the version in use.)
