LISTENER -THREAD ERR:25580

Hi there!
Do you have any idea what might have caused this error?
listener-thread: err = -25580: System error occurred in network function.
This message appears on my online.log whenever I reached 1400 connections and
all goes to a single listener thread.
Here's my platform:
IBM SP-2
AIX 4.2.1
IDS 7.24.UC5
NETTYPE soctcp,7,250,CPU # Configure poll thread(s) for nettype
Thanks for any input.

This line means that you have max. 250 soctcp connections simultaneously.
Total number of 1400 connections could be reached by other NETTYPE entries or
TCP services (in /etc/services). Check the total number possible concurrent
ix connections - probably, you will find that their number is equal to 1400.
:-)
Next, check the semaphore-related parameters in your Unix kernel (I mean
SEMMAX/SEMMNI etc). Read informix release notes in $INFORMIXDIR/release/....
on that subject.
With best regards, Juri Dovgart,
Bank's "Ukraine" System Administrator.
