KAIO statistics

I am built a small test database server to test KAIO.
What does it mean when one KAIO is doing nothing and one KAIO has done
everything?
Here is onstat -d and onstat -g ioq

Can anyone tell me about changes to kernel parameters needed for KAIO
on HP and SCO? Does it increase with extra users? How di I know that I
need more.
thankyou

Known bug, run onstat -g ath and you should find that the
KAIO thread is running on an AIO vp (should be CPU VP!).
It never seems to get activated so it has no effect.

Thankyou. I was surprised to see the unused kio on the statistics.
Can you tell me if there are kernel parameters to set un HP, and how to
know the best setting? On the SCO I got system messages saying out of
AIO buffers so I changed these by multiply by 10. I don't know if that
is still enough, but there are no messages now ofr the testing
database. Can you advise?
NAIOBUF 2000
NAIOLOCKTBL 200
NAIOPROC 20
NAIOREQ 2000
NAIOREQPP 2000
NAIOHBUF 25
I can not find any kernel parameters to change for HP. Is that OK? All
I can find in release notes is
An environment variable IFMX_HPKAIO_NUM_REQ is provided to specify the
number of simultaneous KAIO requests that are processed by the server
at one time. The value can be set in the range of 10 to 5000, the
default being 1000. If the error
"KAIO: out of OS resources, errno = %d, pid = %d" occurs, consider
increasing the value of IFMX_HPKAIO_NUM_REQ.
IFMX_HPKAIO_NUM_REQ=2300; export IFMX_HPKAIO_NUM_REQ
Does that make HP allocate as it needs?
Is it true the need for this KIAO requests will depend on activity only?
Thank you again for helping.

Have you set NUMAIOVPS=1 which is what's recommended for KAIO on raw chunks
only.
