Informix backup and archive

We currently run continuous logical log backup with our LTAPEDEV being a UNIX file. Nightly, we stop tbtape, perform an archive, change the LTAPEDEV to the new filename (with a $DATE extension), and restart tbtape. Does anyone have a script I could put in the cron that will do all (or most of) this for me? Fundamentally, I would like to load a tape at night and have everything above be run automatically.
