Always i was getting error like: error in line 21 error in line 25 ...... ...... May be something to do with sqlhosts and onconfig file, pertaining to DBSERVERNAME, DBSERVERALLIAS and NETTYPE. Just run the buildsmi script manually. Art Art S. Thanks Art. I tried that and also reinstalled but it didn't help. Opened a ticket with support and did not find anything except it might be a permission problem. Could not find where though. Ultimately I uninstalled the entire product including the Informix login cleared out the Informix folders and references in the registry. Did another install and it worked. Still not sure the underlying issue. But the complete removal and reinstall did the trick. Thanks John A.
