Re: Key mapping issues with Putty and 4GL

There is a different key-mapping for a destructive and non-destructive backspace. man termcap or teminfo should display these. Alas, I am on the road and will have to wait until Sunday night to give you better info. j. That seems not to be the issue, it erases in the shell and vi. I have only found that usefull when the backspace is printing a character set (^?) to the screen in the shell. Thanks though. I did change the backspace setting in putty to ^H and now the backspace works in Informix stuff as non-destructive, but I would like it to be destructive. Still no clues on the delete key, it also functions normally in the shell (deletes character, not as an interrupt). _______________________________________________ Informix-list mailing list Informix-list@iiug.org <mailto:Informix-list@iiug.org> <mailto:Informix-list@iiug.org> http://www.iiug.org/mailman/listinfo/informix-list <http://www.iiug.org/mailman/listinfo/informix-list> <http://www.iiug.org/mailman/listinfo/informix-list>
