Problem executing grant into a procedure

Hi, i have the following problem: i defined a procedure that has only one parameter that is a user name the body of procedure performs a grant connect to the user passed as paramtere. This doesn't work because the syntax of grant can be grant connect to 'user' OR grant connect to user. CREATE PROCEDURE grantUser ( ------------------------- PARAMETERS------------------------------fname char (32) -- user name to grant ----------------------- END PARAMETERS---------------------------- ) define cmd char (30); GRANT CONNECT TO fname ; END PROCEDURE; WHen i run the procedure, Informix gives the connect permission to the fname and not the user.
