This syntax works for Online version 7.x onwards (maybe for 6.x??).
For version 5.x try the foll.
select tabname , hex(partnum) HEXPARTNO from systables
where tabid > 99 and tabtype = 'T'
order by 2
This would produce an output as foll.
tabname hexpartno
order 0x30001a
^
3 indicates the dbspace no. (number field in tbstat -d) which can be
mapped to dbspace name (name field in tbstat -d).
tbstat -d (clipped output)
--------------------------
address number flags fchunk nchunks flags owner name
..
41d238 3 1 3 1 N informix dbs1
..
Hope this helps.
