Re-allocating chunks

Dropped a dbspace to free raw disk. Ran a L0 archive to /dev/null, which supposedly frees the space. On attempting to allocate the space I get a 'chunk already exists error'. I have re-allocated the base chunk from the same dbspace with success, but not the subsequent one which has an offset. Any ideas please ?? john
