INFORMIX OnLine 7.10.UC2 conforms to the
MIPS Application Binary Interface which uses SVR4
style networking in contrast to the BSD 4.3 socket
code embedded in the IRIX kernal.
You need to install the following subsystem from your OS CDROM:
eoe1.sw.svr4net
I think I had this problem as well when first installing
INFORMIX OnLine. INFORMIX technical support immediately
diagnosed the problem and instructed me to use the
above workaround.
If you need help installing the subsystem
open a technical support case with SGI and/or INFORMIX.
