Dan, A salary of 75K is low. I worked for a large company in Central Florida for ten years, leaving as their Lead DBA. Part of my responsibilities was screening all DBA applicants. The evaluation process included matching their skill level to their salary requirements. A good DBA, which is very difficult to find, will command much more than $75K. A signing bonus of $5K is a good starting point. If they live out of state, a moving package should be included.
