Hi, Do anybody know how to keep the lock wait or dead lock information 9into a file or table? thanks.
You can use AGS Sentinel with AGS Server Studio. You get a free basic Server Studio license with Informix and you can have a 30day trial of full Server Studio Enterprise Edition and Sentinel licenses just for the asking. If you like it, you can purchase a permanent license. It is not expensive. Check out www.serverstudio.com Sentinel lets you set sensors for most performance numbers of the server and saves the data into its own repository (either a built-in repository or you can reconfigure it to use a small Informix instance instead). Server Studio will then allow you to create a dashboard of graphs to display the data live or historically. Art Art S. You can use the SQLTRACE facility and enable the task called "Save SQL Trace". This will save the traced sql statements into a table. You can add to the insert statements a where clause to limit the scope to only save statements with lock waits or lock errors. John F.
