I do it. So I hope so! I have done restores and roll forwards to check
it and it's been OK. Sometimes you get EOF errors right at the end of a
roll forward. You have to be pretty organised to avoid over-writing
your log backup. I have a single script that starts continuous log
back-ups, and the first thing it does is copy the existing $LTAPEDEV
file to a timestamped copy, and cats /dev/null into a new $LTAPEDEV.
