Informix SNMP and replication
Hi, I read in the technical documentation Informix 11.50 : "The*onsnmp*utility cannot be run on HDR secondary servers, remote standalone (RS) secondary servers, or shared disk (SD) secondary servers." Do you know why ? Do you know if the replication (HDR or SDS) will be supported in the next version of Informix SNMP (v12.1) ? No ! If I understand well the documentation, I cannot monitor a secondary database server with SNMP, because onsnmp process is run for each database server that exist on my Unix Server. If my secondary database server is down by example, I could not know it with my SNMP Network Management ? Is it correct ? Otherwise, what is the solution to monitor a secondary server with SNMP ?
