Informix is keeping all the necessary control information
in RESERVED PAGES - first 12 pages of the ROOTDBS.
Use 'oncheck -pr' to see complete contents of reserved
pages in readable format.
It is not correct to say, that IDS is keeping anything in
the 'sysmaster' database.
Some tables in 'sysmaster' (like syslogs) are views to
reserved pages, some (like sysptnhdr) - views to the
'tablespace tablespace', some (like syslocks) - view to
in-memory structures
