Hello,
i have some questions about dbspacetemp under WINNT
1) How can I set the DBSPACETEMP environment variable for every session
constantly.
In the File "setenv.cmd" ?
2) Do I have to set the environment variable in the "setenv.cmd" and (!)
the configuration parameter in the ONCONFIG File?
3) From which File or location did informix receive the other parameters
of the
Informix environment (Statement "SET" under Informix Command Line
Utilities)
like "NUMBER_OF_PROCESSORS=4", "windir=C:\\WINNT".
4) When I alter the LOCK MODE of a table from "PAGE (P)" to "ROW (R)"
is this Modification for one Session or for every session and
constant.
If this modification is not constant, how can I set the "LOCK MODE"
constantly
to LOCK MODE "ROW (R)".
5) When I make an ontape -s on a machine A can i make an ontape -r
on another machine B when the chunk size and the numbers of chunks
are not the same. Or must the chunk size of the first dbspace be the
same on both
machines?
Kind regards
André

In Your ONCONFIG.

ONCONFIG ONLY.

From different entries in Your registry, config.sys and autoexec.bat. 'The
last two ones only, if they
exist.

You change permanent for future use.

You better don't try something like this. At least all (!!!) chunks have to
be same. An even
in this case there may occur problems.
