What kind of requirement is that? If I were to perform an archive OK, I had wondered about this myself forever, I finally looked it up. ODS Admin. Guide 7.1+ Section 15-17 warns about this and states the reason for the warning has nothing to do with the safety of reusing the chunks but with the practicality that your last Archive has these chunks as perhaps belonging to a different dbspace or being a different size (as in your case, Jake) and that if you have to restore you would be reverted to the original configuration. Performing an Archive, I guess either before or after readding the chunks would save you from having to do that work over in the event of an imminent crash and restore. Art S. Kagel
