News brought to you by SunTEK: SunTEK's Chinese Text Search DataBlade Module for Informix Dynamic Server (IDS/UDO) has been formally certified by Informix's DataBlade Certification Program. It is one of the first datablades certified in Asia and the first in Asia outside Japan and Korea. SunTEK's Chinese DataBlade allows users to store, retrieve and index double-byte data, including Chinese BIG5 and GB texts on Informix Dynamic Server, a world leader in object-relational database systems. The datablade performs sophisticated text operations such as document ranking on the server side and thus cuts down communication costs between client and server dramatically. SunTEK is a software company specialized in Chinese/English search products for Internet and intranets, database management systems, and local file systems.
