101945-32 (Solaris 2.4 latest kernel jumbo patch) busts Informix 7.1

Watch out. After we installed Sun recommended patch 101945-32 for Solaris 2.4 (sparc), our Informix server (7.10.UC1) crashed in a big way: a bus error. This was on a 2-processor Sparc. Our workaround was to revert to Sun patch 102020-07's /kernel/sys/kaio and /usr/lib/libaio.so.1. 102020-07 is supposed to be obsoleted by 101945-32, but there must be some reason Sun is still distributing it.... More cautious folks may want to avoid 101945-32 entirely. I filed a bug report with Sun (so#2109481, filed a few hours ago -- my Sun engineer is still checking into what the story is with 102020-07 vs 101945-32), but this one is a big enough showstopper that I figured other people might be interested. Is it a coincidence that 101945-32's asynchronous I/O patches were put in at Oracle's request? (:-)
