We are currently using Powerbuilder and Informix for IMAGE : applications. The average image size is about 60-100KByte, and we are : running token ring with 16MBit. The response time to retrieve and : display an image is something like half a second with 20 active users. : It did happen a few time before that the system was slow. But it alwarys : turned out that the network has problem. You can do the following test : to see whether your problem is network related. Enter the following two : commands: : arp -a : netstat -r : If the response to any of the above commands is slow, you have network : problem. If it is not network related issue, I believe you need to check : both the client and server configuration. : Chao I believe there is a parameter which could change your network buffer size. The parameter is in sqlhost and at the end of each line. Hope this help !
