Re: oninit -i problem online 7.22
Posted in 1997
I resently ran into this same error with 7.22 on Digital Unix 3.2G. This
is fixed in 722FC4. We are on a 64bit OS version. The problem would
surface when a PC using an ODBC driver would connect with a Computer
Workstation Name > 8 characters. IF we queried the syssessions table we
had garbage in some of the columns. If you look at the sysmaster.sql you
will notice that syssessions is a view into sysscblst. This table pulls
the tty information it received from the client connection. From what I
could tell there was a problem with the data structure in shared memory.
You may be experiencing the same problem or something similar.
Our INF CASE 628892 - onstat -u & onstat -g ses receive the following
message:
Changing data structure forced command termination.
Hope this helps.

Can anyone help me with this problem. I have installed online 7.22 on an
ICL Teamserver. I have read the release notes and checked that kernel
parameters are set accordingly. The problem I am getting is when I execute
the command oninit -i
I get the following message afterwards when I execute onstat -
"Changing data structure forced command termination".
Does anyone know what can be done to alleviate this problem?
Thanks in advance for any help that may be forthcoming.
James
