7.30 will take care of the storage manager problem (it includes one)
and onbar lets you restore to a point in time, so upgrading is really
the best solution here.
Technically, using a cold restore you could perform a logical recovery
but not apply the last tape's worth of logical logs (you can stop the
logical recovery at any particular log *tape*, but that will likely
contain log files that you'd want to restore.)
