Re: How do I print a database catalog?
Posted in 1996
Create a script "info" like
#!/bin/csh
echo "info columns for $1;" | $INFORMIXDIR/bin/isql $2
Than run it as
info table_name database_name
piping to printer
You might want to create scripts for different info, or create a comprehensive
script which gives you the detailed info for all tables in your database.
Another way to get the catalog is to run dbschema utility for the database
dbschema -t all -d database_name | lp
Hope it helps,
