Informix DBA position

Position: Database Analyst (permanent position) Company: Sprint/North Supply Area: South Kansas City suburb Database: Informix Online 5.01 and 7.1 Hardware: Data General; 2 DG9500's, 1 DG8500 Basic job duties: This position has leadership roles in projects involving existing database applications and business application systems. The incumbent has a high degree of technical and analytical proficiency in the design of database applications and in problem identification, and is knowledgeable of the operating relationships between the database and other IS systems. The incumbent will be heavily involved in database responsibilities for installation, maintenance, performance, security and recoverability. Education/Experience/Skills Required: 1) Four year college degree or equivalent related experience; plus six years related experience, at least one of which must be in relational database. 2) Proficient in relational database, SQL, UNIX, reporting tools and processes, Informix-4GL programming or Informix database. 3) Programming experience in moderate to large complex applications. Preferred Education/Experience/Skills: 1) Experience in Informix OnLine relational database technology. 2) Experience in systems and/or database software in a client-server environment. 3) Experience in application systems analysis and design. 4) Project management experience.
