I'm not sure what it could be, but I would try running an explicit "CURRENT WINDOW IS " after closing the second window. More - if you are entering new data in these input fields and you are pressing the function key at this time - the characters in input buffer you have just entered are not saved. If you are running DISPLAY your_variable TO your_field after closing the second window you will get an empty field (or the previous value in variable) displayed. Of course it could be some other problem involved. Could you post a code example ?
