DCE threads & INFORMIX ?

Does anybody knows if it is possible to open multiple transacctions simultaneously from a multi-threaded server using Informix as a database? If each sql-turbo process can only handle one transacction concurrently; is it possible to start more than one sql-turbo process to serve only one client process ? I've read that INFORMIX-OnLine Dynamic Server 6.0 is a multi-threaded database server, but does this mean that support more than one transaction from the same client at the same time ?
