Poorly written software will have a major impact on performance. So I would recommend applying good software engineering techniques to the development process. (If you haven't guessed, I'm more of an application specialist. ;-) So, I would say that while Online offers better performance than SE, you should also look at your application. Either engine will perform terribly if the code driving the app is fat and poorly written. -Mikey
