Connecting to CASE 6000 OSI network

I've tried speaking to Sphinx the distributors and I've tried speaking to Informix the manufacturers and they're about as good as each other. At the moment we are tendering for a job whereby we need to be able to interface our application with applications running on other computers connected by a CASE 6000 OSI network. What we have to do is simple, basically either read a patient record from the hospital PAS and place it in our application schema or the reverse. Informix can't tell me whether their engine will do this directly. All I want to know is can it (we will be supplying this application on a SPARC 630MP server) or will I have to resort to C?
