Could the process be in deadlock? I can't remember the error code for =
deadlock off hand but a potential deadlock situation will cause Online to =
error immediately. It knows it doesn't have to wait 100 seconds, the =
deadlock will still be there at the end of the wait period so it exits =
immediately.
I would advise running explain over the sql, if sequential scans are =
happening then add some navigation indexes. This usually deals with most =
of these problems unless there is some really bad table design involved.
