Given that, at the end of the day, both products simply produce a collection of Intel opcodes talking to an Informix database, what makes NewEra performance better than Delphi's? In my comparison of NE 1.1 vs Delphi 1.0, it was Delphi that coped with large datasets *far* better than NE. Similarly, I don't understand how the choice of a *client* language affects the number of active users. Surely it's the Database's problem to deal with the number of requests likely to be received by the clients? I hear this a lot, but still don't understand.
