Re: HELP : S.E (7.x) nearly faster than OWS (7.x)

We've had excellent luck with SE on our AIX machine (2G database)
Some rules:
1) NEVER kill an sqlexec process (death by boom-bah!). Our users are
in menus, so they can't do this anyhow.
2) Run bcheck at least once a week (we run this on Sunday morning via
cron command)
3) cat /dev/null > logfile immediately after backups.
4) VERIFY all backups (the Online engine doesn't do this)
5) Put a UPS on it to prevent power failure fun.
6) Mirror your disks on different controller cards.
Our uptime is about 22/7
