I think that's not correct. If you want to modify another column of
your table, that is not included in the column-list of the
update-trigger, this should be possible. But what you need is a
column-specific update-trigger, instead of a table-level trigger.
create trigger t1 update of A on my_table
referencing new as n old as o (for each row ( execute procedure uhps( n.A ) into n.B );
This example would store the value - returned by the procedure uhps - in
the column B of the cirrent row.
