Some interesting arguments have been posted supporting one or the other. I have to say that the answer is: BOTH! Why? More processors mean more parallelization, which in turn requires more memory. If you are currently at the limit on both, then adding more of one or the other will merely leave you starved for whatever you didn't add. If performance metrics show that you are starved on only one of the two, then by all means go for that one. But be prepared to be starved for the other after the upgrade!
