Re: Informix 5 SE performance tuning?

There are things you could look at doing. What about UPDATE STATISTICS? Is that being run regularly? Other respondents suggested looking at indexes. I would also suggest looking at the location of the tables. Are there any tables that have high access rates. You could think about splitting these onto separate physical drives to share the disk load. But the most important thing you need to determine is what is holding things up. Are you disk, memory, or processor bound? Once you know that you can think about moving forward. And where did you get the software from? Who developed the application? I should talk to them for help in the first instance. regards Malcolm "Brian Mills" <brianmills@idontthinkyouunderstandspamprotection.co.uk> wrote in message news:<3MmdnS8AFYZ5swzdRVn-jg@nildram.net>... > Hi > > I know Informix 5 SE is OLD but it is our platform for the forseeable > future.
