RE: Is there any reason *not* to go 64-bit?

I would stay with the 32 bit unless I needed the extra address space above the limits of the 32 bit products. In the 64 bit products the address structures are larger hence using more resources (such as memory) than the 32 bit platform. If you use IDS 64 bit then you should use 64 bit CSDK etc. MW > -----Original Message----- > From: owner-informix-list@iiug.org > [mailto:owner-informix-list@iiug.org]On Behalf Of Douglas Palmer > Sent: Sunday, 15 June 2003 5:04 p.m. > To: informix-list@iiug.org > Subject: Is there any reason *not* to go 64-bit? > > > We are getting ready to enter a support contract on our Informix > installation that will allow us to move to 64-bit 9.4 if we > want to.
