This is currently a bone of contention and you just missed a thread on this issue while you were osmosizzzzzing. You can't do unattended online archiving unless you buy backup device(s) capable of storing your whole archive on one logical volume, or resort to a kludge such as a named pipe between tbtape and the backup device in which case your kludge would need to be capable of buffering however much was leftover after the first volume filled up until the operator came back. graeme -- Disclaimer: The author's opinions are his own, and not necessarily those of Pyramid Technology Ltd. or Pyramid Technology Inc. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- -m------- Graeme Sargent Voice: +44 (0)252 373035 ---mmm----- Senior Database Consultant Fax : +44 (0)252 373135 -----mmmmm--- Pyramid Technology Ltd.
