Using library 'alike' approach with 4GL P-code

Hello, Does anybody know if a library like approach can be applied if you use 4GL P-code. What I want to achieve is to put all kind of universal functions in a module-file and distribute this module-file as a separate part. At the moment I have the situation that the module-file with the universal functions is concatenated with several main-module files; this yields a program. This is the common approach. But what if 50+ of such programs occur and some function in the universal module must be modified. Then all 50+ programs have to be distributed to my customers (which are more than 50). Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Henk

Check out the RDSLIB code in the IIUG software archive. It should do what you want. Well, it does if you're working on a mainstream Unix system with a mainstream ar(1) library file format... http://www.iiug.org/ -- Jonathan Leffler (jleffler@informix.com, jleffler@earthlink.net) Guardian of DBD::Informix v0.60 -- see http://www.perl.com/CPAN #include <disclaimer.h>
