Datatype conversion problem

Hi CDI folks, My problem is as follows : I have a column declared as decimal(29,0), it has got values which occupies all 29 digits. From my front end (Actutate reporting tool) when I select that column it assigns datatype as double, as a result of that I losing some data, to makes things worse it displays in exponential format.
