bottom margin and page trailer

Hi All, I'm not sure what the relationship is between the bottom margin and page trailer. The manual says that the bottom margin affects how close to the bottom of the page Informix displays the page trailer. So, if my page length is 72 and my bottom margin is 5 ( wouldn't you know it, that is what some other programmer has set them to in the report I am due to hack! ) then on which line do print statements appear within the page trailer? What confuses me is that the in the page trailer control block there is a lot of print statements to perform and I don't kow how many I can have before it goes off the end of the page.
