But the answer we were looking for is not from 4gl/SPL but a C code. The additional problems we have to resolve are as follows. 1) It must be called from a PC. This narrows the possible solution to Remote Procecure Call (RPC). 2) Single account and single password to access 12 servers. This requires NIS (or NIS+) installation and compounds the problem. 3) For maintenance purpose, DNS must be installed. This does not impact a lot, I hope. My estimate is we need three months to complete this program. Wait and see. Chao Din
