When I press the arrow keys in rapid successsion they produce some undesired effects. The system takes it as escape followed by A B C or D and therefore I drop out of the editor to make some selection that begins with A B C or D. The machine that is having these problems does not have any other programs wich use the arrow keys (it is basicly meant for SQL teaching) so I cant check out if other programs have the same problems. I use a network to access the system, and I've been told that some old versions of curses did have problems with timing of escape sequences (it used to meassure the time between escape and the next character to determine if it was escape or some control symbol) on networks. What I would like to know is who4s fault is it (SCO or informix) and if it has been fixed in later versions. We currently use SCO sys V/386 3.2 and informix 4.00. -- /| Yngvi Thor Sigurjonsson |\\ |.| |.|\\ ______________________/| | | Fljotasel 17 | || |.| | | yngvi@rhi.hi.is | | | | Reykjavik Iceland | ||.| | | |_____________________| | \\|_________________________________|/ | | | |/_______________________\\|
