That seems not to be the issue, it erases in the shell and vi. I have only found that usefull when the backspace is printing a character set (^?) to the screen in the shell. Thanks though. I did change the backspace setting in putty to ^H and now the backspace works in Informix stuff as non-destructive, but I would like it to be destructive. Still no clues on the delete key, it also functions normally in the shell (deletes character, not as an interrupt).
You may need to do a "stty -a" (I think that will show all your settings) and look for any cross-overs. Sometimes my @ key is mapped to kill or something so I can't send email from the server... I have to set the kill correctly, then the @ works fine as it is no longer mapped to something else. -----Original Message----- From: informix-list-bounces@iiug.org [mailto:informix-list-bounces@iiug.org] On Behalf Of JaxenT Sent: Friday, July 11, 2008 10:23 AM To: informix-list@iiug.org Subject: Re: Key mapping issues with Putty and 4GL On Jul 10, 5:46 pm, Ian Michael Gumby <im_gu...@hotmail.com> wrote: > > try stty erase (then hit the backspace key) I tried that for s&g, no luck.
