informix-list To: lines

Several informix-list subscribers reported that messages coming through the gateway from comp.databases.informix to the list did not have "To:" header lines. There was a bug in one of the gateway scripts that was causing the problem. It has now been fixed. For those of you who missed my earlier message, then list has three brave new volunteers who will be handling list manager duties: Paul Watson <paulw@wfsoftware.co.uk> Billy Wheeler <billy@west.co.za> David Williams <djw@smooth1.demon.co.uk> They will get back-up help from Mike Reetz <miker@iiug.org>, the IIUG Postmaster. If you need to contact one of these folks regarding the list, the best address to use will be "informix-list-manager@iiug.org". So, sorry for the "To:" line mess-up, especially to those who were using it to filter and route mail. I should mention that messages posted directly to the list do not have their headers modified before being sent to the list, as was also the case when the list was at Emory (at least with respect to "To:" lines). Also, I am temporarily forwarding messages inadvertently posted to the old list address at rmy.emory.edu to iiug.org with no header modifications. Thus, your filters should look for "informix-list" with no domain name in both the To: and Cc: lines if possible.
