Post your reasons for saying it doesnt add up to 20Mb. Look at and post onstat -g seg and you will see why it is.

Even when you initialize your shared memory with least number of
BUFFERS,LOCKS etc the shared memory size goes to 20MB (provided
FORCED RESIDENCY IS ENABLED(1).Why is the value so high ,because when
you addup the RESIDENT PORTION components it does'nt add up to
20 MB.
