Outer Join Problem....

Hi, We are developing an Application where in the database is kept open. ie the customer Can either go for Informix Database(Online 7.x) or Oracle 7.3. I have a problem in joins . As u all know that for Outer joins In informix on client will have OUTER keyword Is placed before the name the table. But in Oracle outer join syntax + has to be placed After each column which will have values not matching the corresponding column in the Joined table. But in this I cannot have common script on the client (powerbuilder) - Any solution Do inform - I will be very thank ful .. Regards Chandra kumar
