ODBC connection forces engine to hang

Hi Everyone, HELP HELP HELP ... Installed RHL 8.0, CSDK 2.81 UC3, IDS 9.40 UC3, 4js (3.50.1a) on a DELL Xeon server. dbimport, dbaccess etc. looks ok. Ran onchecks. No problem at all. On a Window XP client (MDAC 2.8), installed CSDK 2.81 TC3. Setup setnet32 with correct server info. Setup a user DSN (Also tried with system DSN). Using DBPING, TCPIP Ping, NATIVE Ping, COM+ Ping and ODBC Ping work ok. Up to this stage engine runs ok. I can bounce the engine without any prob and I can launch 4js program on client PC. Pl. note that 4js program uses port and service to run. Problem start when I use any 3rd party tool such as MS Excel, WinSQL using ODBC DSN. As soon that application connections to database, database server looses its mind and hangs forever. I can't even bounce the engine and had to reboot the box.
