I wonder if someone could give me some advice on an Informix On-Line configuration. Basically I would like to have a central server running the Informix On-Line engine for Novell Netware 3.11, with several workstations running Informix 4gl for DOS accessing data stored on the server. Assuming the appropriate communication links exist between the server and workstations (some will be at remote sites), what Informix software is required per workstation? Do we need Informix NET-PC and 4GL runtimes on each workstation and if we do is it possible to get discounts for multiple copies? My local distributor seems to have no idea! Thanks,
