VB6 Problem Connecting Correctly

I am writing a front-end for Informix in VB6. I've run into a problem though. The ODBC driver I have is working fine. I can connect to the server with the ADO Data Control, I can see the table names, and I can see the field names. However, when I attempt to pull data into a simple text box, I get the following error: Unable to bind to field or DataMember: 'name' All of the properties for the Data Control and the Text Box are set correctly. There is no setting for DataMember. Is that required? Or am I just missing something else?
