Informix Job Recruiters

In regards to the Jobs being posted on the Informix List: I don't mind seeing them. Just like I don't mind seeing questions posted by new users. I was once a "dumb intern" as our interns in Dept of Army are sometimes called and I might be out of a job sometime. I can usually tell with the first paragraph whether I need to make time to read the messages posted on the list. If they apply to something of interested I read the message, saving some and delete all others. Jobs aren't of interest to me right now, but the axe is flying every- where - cutting many budgets to the core. I don't think this is a time when the right to publish the jobs should be limited. I object to whoever posted the note that we are mainly Informix programmers. I wish I could just do one programming language. I have to jump from Informix to Unify to Progress to shell script to C to learning Windows and trying to start to do some GUI for x-windows and interfacing with Laser Printers, etc. I really did think programming with one language was all there was to programming. And I think it was at one time...when we only did COBOL instead of trying to convert COBOL to Informix or Progress. Check with you all next week when, maybe we can talk about error codes and trouble with arrays, instead of worrying about who has a right to post.
