NewEra2.12: custom C dll and p-code compiling
Posted in 1996
Hi there again! :) I've coded my own PIPPO.DLL with some functions in C, then linked it by using the application builder; this DLL is a NewEra Class derived from a Class defined in another DLL, called PLUTO.DLL. Application builder: PIPPO.4GH PIPPO.4GL PIPPOC.C ----> Uses PLUTO.LIB ----> Linked to produce PIPPO.DLL Then, I use this DLL in a large project that uses both the Class on PLUTO.DLL and the derived Class on PIPPO.DLL. Problem is (thank you if you're still reading!) when I compile the final project: if I compile it in C code, all is ok, if I compile it in p-code, program crashes when it uses my derived class included in PIPPO.DLL. The Informix manuals tells that I cannot use C then compile in p-code, but there's no C code in the project! Infact I've put C code in the dll, and almost all DLLs I know were produced in C. Please, can you tell me some more? Thank you. MATRO Too many random sheets on your desk? "Reminder" is the right answer! http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/8383/reminder.htm
